Description

After Reverand Inama retired in 1873. He only had a few years to enjoy his retirement. He died on October 18, 1879, and because he was so important to the history of Dane county and the catholic roots he established there, the community felt he needed a special and proper final place of rest. He was buried under a "quaint shaft" at St. Norbert Catholic Cemetery in Roxbury, which is in Dane County. If you look close enough, you will notice that on the tombstone, the word "Reverend" is spelled wrong It seems as though the community was too worried about finding the best burial place for him that they forgot to focus on the smaller, more important details.
