St. Norbert's Church

Title

St. Norbert's Church

Subject

The current St. Norbert's Church located in Roxbury, Wisconsin.

Description

This is the present day St. Norbert's Church. This church shares several similarities with the church on the St. Norbert campus, Old St. Joseph's. The steeple as well as the brick are very similar to Old St. Joseph's Church in De Pere, Wisconsin. Although the churches resemble each other, Old St. Joseph Church was built in 1969, several years after the church in Roxbury was established. Furthermore, just as St. Norbert is a college founded in Norbertine beliefs and traditions, Father Inama was a Norbertine and his missionary work followed the same traditions of the Norbertines. As a result, both St. Norbert's Church in Roxbury as well as Old St. Joseph's Church on the St. Norbert College campus were/are rooted in Norbertine tradition.
