Description

This page in his journal is especially interesting because of the detailed drawing of Sac Prairie, here Inama settled in 1845. The Wilten Mission in the USA in the 19th century states: "Adalbert Inama arrived on November 25, 1845 in Sac Prairie. He determined that his Cathlolic community was not very large. Therefore in the following winter he could also take on the instruction of the school children. For the next year thouh he counted on a large increase of settlers. The bishop asked him to take on pastoral work in areas outside his area of residence, like Madison, Mineral Point, Green Lake and Pincries (Pineries). For this, missionary trips were necessary" (43-44).
