Description

Before Father Inama made his way to the Midwest he stopped on the coast, in New York as he was making his way from Europe to the center of the states. Father Inama traveled by train as well as postal boat. He conducted missionary work in Albany, New York, as well at Utica, New York. As the word of Father Inama spread as well as his good news, the German Catholics in Syracuse as well as Salina sent Father Inama invitations asking him to come do pastoral work for them. These towns were close to where Father Inama already had been doing pastoral work in Utica. As part of his missionary work, Father Inama made several attempts to try to converge the German-Catholics with the Irish-Catholics of the day. He made much progress in the area! The two dialects were so converged after a matter of time that there was even talk about perhaps building one church, for both the German-Catholics as well as the Irish-Catholics, rather than two separate churches for the Irish parishioners and the German ones.
